All Stars Cricket is the perfect introduction for all 5 to 8-year-olds and teaches children the fundamental skills needed for cricket including catching, throwing and batting. For children wanting to play club cricket throughout the summer, there are over 5,000 clubs around the country for you to choose from. The National Lottery Communities Fund is supporting our APEX project, facilitating reciprocal visits between children and playworkers from some of London’s fabulous adventure playgrounds. For more than a decade, Inspiring Scotland and Active Play delivery partners have worked together to bring the Active Play Programme to children across Scotland. It supports children’s emotional, social and cognitive development. Eight city-based teams, created specifically for The Hundred, will compete every summer. It features world-class players and massive names from around the world. The Hundred is an action-packed, unmissable, 100-ball cricket competition that will put you on the edge of your seat.
We work for a more playful London
The Garfield Weston Foundation has awarded us £40k in core funding over two years (25/26 and 26/27). We will work alongside local campaigners, supporting them to successfully challenge threats to local play spaces or services and develop a toolbox for future campaigners in the process. We are very excited that Trust for London has agreed to fund our Communities United for Play project.
Active Play is a child-led, fun and physically engaging approach to play that helps children build their fundamental movement skills, confidence and enjoyment of being active. Designed to be fun, inclusive and active, Active Play is a straightforward and inexpensive programme to implement. Dynamos is all about fun and provides children with a more social offer, focusing on developing the fundamental skills required to play cricket. The programme has been evaluated by the University of Strathclyde, University of Glasgow, Arrivo Consulting, and FMR Research, with evidence demonstrating improvements in children’s physical literacy, activity levels, and social development. Research has shown that children who are physically active are more likely to have a healthier lifestyle and learn better, as they grow older.
